Swatara Residence

IUGNAP was tasked with undertaking a significant and challenging project in Harrisburg. The project, known as "Swatara," aimed to transform a property filled with vegetation and trees into a vibrant and comfortable space, perfect for residential areas.

Challenge:

The main challenge of the Swatara project was twofold: firstly, the need to preserve the integrity of the residence. Secondly, the project required innovative solutions to integrate sustainable construction practices due to its incorporated solar panels. The complex nature of this mixed-use project demanded a delicate balance between preservation and modernization.

Our Solution:

To enhance the visualization and appreciation of the residence, the decision was made to remove all vegetation surrounding it, while simultaneously renovating its roof, preserving the added value of dismantling the solar panels. Furthermore, a complete renovation was carried out inside the house, including painting and flooring.
